A varnish painted onto the teeth to slow down early decay.
What it is
Varnish is painted straight onto the tooth with a small brush. It sets in
seconds and then works over the following hours.
We use it where a tooth is showing the first signs of decay but has not
broken down. Sometimes that spot stays as it is for years and never needs a
filling. That is the point of the appointment.
Questions about this treatment
How often can it be done?
Twice a year for most people, and up to four times if we are watching a spot closely.
